Poetry Reading Guidelines

Contribute a Favorite Poem to

Eating Your Words: A Reading of Poems about Food, Farms & Gardening with Guest Poet Jim Beschta & Friends on Thursday, April 8, 7:00 pm

APRIL 1: Deadline to submit a poem

 

Poems and comments will be gathered in a collection kept at the Haston Library for all to read and enjoy!

GUIDELINES

 

1) Open to anyone, of any age, with a connection to North Brookfield.

2) You may choose to read your poem at the Reading or simply include it in the Library collection.

3) Contribute a poem that you've written about eating, or preparing, or growing food.

4) OR, contribute a poem about food, farms, or gardens by a published poet or a friend or family member.

5) Write a paragraph or so about why you’ve written or chosen this poem.

6) Submit your typed poem and comments on or before Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Haston Library or by email to harbourfh@gmail.com.

7) Please include the following information: Your name; age (optional); address; phone; email; your North Brookfield connection and how long you've lived or worked here; occupation; place of work or school; grade; Title of Poem; Name of Poet (and translator).

8) Indicate whether you would you like to read your poem at the Eating Your Words Reading. (Please note: there may not be time for all participants to read, due to time constraints.)
