Local teaching artist Renée Malowitz will be presenting a Marbleizing Workshop for ages 10 and up on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 10 am-12 pm at the Haston Free Library. No art experience is required for this hands-on program. The session will be spent creating the papers and projects such as cards and collages. This program for ages ten through adult is an experiential, open-ended, multi-age workshop which will introduce participants to the art of marbelizing their own papers. It provides an opportunity to create simple yet beautiful art and allow community members to come together in a relaxed setting and create. Examples of others’ marbleizing pieces will be made available.
Renee Malowitz has been a teaching artist for oer 30 years including a classroom instructor, freelance artist, business owner, theater design/artist and consultant.
