In order to provide access to business expertise to small businesses in the area, the Haston Library is partnering with the Worcester chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) to host “Small Business and How It Grows”, a series of presentations and networking opportunities for home-based and small businesses in all area towns. These meetup sessions are intended for new and existing businesses throughout this area. The goal is to link entrepreneurs together to share knowledge and learn from business resources. There is no cost for this program.
The first session will be held on Monday, November 9th at 6:00 pm and will feature Erin Howard, owner of Streamline Internet Marketing & Web Design who will discuss “10 Must-Haves for a Successful Business Website”. Ms. Howard will address issues that affect many web-based and small businesses:
-The most common reasons visitors abandon your site
-The most important element of your home page and where to put it
-Why you may be alienating over 50% of your website visitors
– and other useful tips for transforming your home page from mediocre to money-making!
