FACEPAINTING WORKSHOP

for parents and young adults

Thursday, October 24th (6:00–8:00 pm)

The workshop will focus on three skills:  using base paint, add-ons, and details.

The library will pay for most supplies, which participants may take home.

But there is a $5 registration fee.

HALLOWEEN CRAFTS

Every Thursday in October from 4:00–5:00 pm

in the Children’s Library

Stop in and have fun with a Halloween-themed craft each week.

LIBRARY DRAWING COMPETITION

Open to elementary and jr.-senior high school students

To celebrate the library’s 125th anniversary, the Friends of the Haston Library are sponsoring a drawing competition.

Submit a drawing of the library (dark colors or black and white).  All submissions will be displayed at the library.

Winning designs (one elementary, one jr.-senior high) will be silk-screened on anniversary T-shirts to be sold at the library.

Submissions are due at the library on

Wow–what an incentive!!!!!!

Young adults were invited to participate in the summer Reading Program too.  As an incentive, the Boston Bruins and Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners donated a Bruins jersey, AUTOGRAPHED by the WHOLE TEAM!!!!!

Through the generosity of Country Bank, the library has purchased a telescope through the Aldrich Adopt-a-Library Telescope program.
