BOOK GROUP

~ APRIL IS POETRY MONTH ~

Meetings are (usually) held on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm

This month we’ll be sharing our favorite poems.  If you’d like to participate please drop off a copy of your selected poem at the library by Tuesday, April 16th

in the Reading Room.

EARTH DAY STORY WALK

Saturday, April 27th (9:00–11:30 am)

Self-directed, start any time!

Start at Jim’s Pizza, 2019 N. Main St., North Brookfield and read your way down Main Street to the Haston Free Public Library, 161 N. Main St.  When you get to the library, stay and make a shark to take home!

Participating storefronts:

Jim’s Pizza, Gillette Restaurant Equipment, Cumberland Farms, St. Jean’s Country Package Store, North Brookfield Town Offices, Nash Contracting, twentysix2 graphics, Angel Nails, Bush Mountain Stitchery & Framing, and North Brookfield Subway.

LEGO CLUB RETURNS!!!!!

 Weekly Lego Club started up again on Wednesday, January 16, and will meet each Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. 

Girls and boys of all ages are invited to build a masterpiece, which will be displayed in the Children’s Room for a week. 

*******At the first Lego Club meeting local Lego enthusiasts Bob and Carol Wheeler exhibited an assortment of their Harry Potter Lego creations, including a built-to-scale Hogwarts made from over 6000 pieces.   Hogwart’s is currently on display in the Lobby Display Case.

Community Connections pre-school story time continues each Tuesday morning at 10:15 a.m. in the Children’s Library under the direction of Patricia Lowkes.  All pre-schoolers are invited to enjoy stories, games, movement and music.  No sign-up is necessary for this activity.
